This ricotta with sweet spices is an oriental-inspired vegetarian dessert. It’s lovely and yummy. The recipe here serves 2. The preparation time is 10 minutes or so, plus 60 minutes in the fridge.
- ½ cup of ricotta cheese
- ¼ cup of light cream
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons of clear honey
- 1 tablespoon of shelled and chopped pistachios
- 2 cardamom pods, shelled and seeds collected
- Few threads of saffron
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the ricotta cheese, cream and vanilla extract until smooth.
Spoon into two serving glasses. Top with 1 teaspoon of honey on each, and decorate with pistachios and spices. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. And enjoy!
