


The quantities in the recipe here make 4 servings of strawberry coulis. It is ready in 35 minutes or so.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of fresh strawberry, hulled and diced
- ¼ cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of Demerara sugar
- ¼ teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
- Fromage blanc
- Fresh strawberries to decorate
Preparation
In a small saucepan over medium heat, cook the strawberry with the water and sugar, stirring very often, for 15-20 minutes until the strawberry is very soft and in purée.
Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon juice.
Let it cool covered. (store in the fridge if not used straight away after cooling, and eat within 2 days).
Serve over some fromage blanc spooned into individual serving glasses. Decorate with a fresh strawberry.
