This strawberry porridge is ready in less than 10 minutes. The quantity in the recipe here is for 1 person (generous portion) or 2 persons (not so generous portions!).
- ½ cup of rolled oats
- ½ cup of fresh hulled and diced strawberry
- ½ cup of milk
- ½ cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, add the oats, strawberry, milk and water, and cook according to the package directions of the rolled oats. (The oats that I buy are quick cooking. So stirring continuously, I bring to a simmer, and cook for 1-2 minutes more.)
Transfer the porridge to a serving bowl, and drizzle with the maple syrup. Serve immediately!
