Earl Grey tea seems to have many health benefits. For more information about them, here are the links to two interesting articles I found on the internet: What Are the Health Benefits of Earl Grey Tea by Joanne Marie in Livestrong, and the article by Kathryn Vera in SFGate. While I am not too much of a tea drinker (but a coffee drinker for sure), these articles gave me food for thought. So I ended up making this Earl Grey and basil infused water!
The quantities in the recipe make 4 to 6 cups.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon of Earl Grey tea
- 5-6 fresh basil leaves
- 4 to 6 cups of filtered water
Preparation
Add the earl grey and basil leaves to a glass bottle with a large opening, and top up with filtered water.
Infuse overnight in the fridge (after this time, remove the basil and tea), keep covered in the fridge, and enjoy within 24 hours!
